At Slayed by Davia, every appointment is prepared for in advance, your time slot, your service setup, and the studio’s full attention are reserved exclusively for you from the moment you book. These policies exist to protect that standard for every client, every time. Please read through them carefully before securing your reservation.

 

1. Deposit Policy

A non-refundable deposit of $CA 20 is required to confirm every appointment at Slayed by Davia. Your booking is not secured until the deposit has been received (Unconfirmed slots are released back into the calendar and made available to other clients).

What the deposit covers

The $CA 20 deposit is applied directly toward the total cost of your service on the day of your appointment. It is not an additional charge, it is simply the first portion of your service payment, collected in advance to confirm your commitment to the booking.

How to pay your deposit

Deposits are accepted via debit cards while booking a service and e-transfer to [your e-transfer address here]. Your booking confirmation will be sent once the deposit is received and your slot is locked in.

 

2. Payment Policy

Full payment for your service is due at the end of your appointment. We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash
  • E-transfer
  • Debit cards

Please come prepared with your preferred payment method. Prices for each service are listed on the booking page. If you have any questions about the total cost of your appointment before you arrive, feel free to reach out in advance.

 

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We require a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel and 24 hours to reschedule an appointment. This window allows us enough time to offer your slot to another client and manage the studio schedule accordingly. You can also cancel and reschedule your appointment on your customer account page which link will be sent to you in the booking confirmation email.

Cancellation with 48+ hours noticE

Your deposit will be transferred and applied to a future booking made within 30 days of the original appointment date. Cancellations made outside this transfer window will forfeit the deposit.

Cancellation with less than 48 hours notice

The deposit is forfeited in full. A new $CA 20 deposit will be required to secure a future appointment.

Same-day cancellations

Same-day cancellations are treated as late cancellations regardless of the time of day the cancellation is made. The deposit is forfeited and a new deposit is required to rebook.

How to cancel or reschedule?

Contact us directly as early as possible. Cancellation requests are only considered valid once acknowledged by Slayed by Davia.

 

4. No-Show Policy

A no-show is defined as failing to attend a confirmed appointment without prior notice. Clients who do not show up for their appointment will:

  • Forfeit their deposit in full
  • Be required to pay a new $20 deposit to secure any future booking
  • In cases of repeated no-shows, be subject to booking restrictions at the studio’s discretion

We understand that emergencies happen. If something comes up unexpectedly, please contact us as soon as possible.

 

5. Late Arrival Policy

We operate on a one-client-at-a-time schedule, which means late arrivals directly affect the quality and completion of your service. Please plan your journey to arrive on time.
Grace period: A 15-minute grace period applies to all appointments.

Arrivals after 15 minutes

A late arrival fee applies to all appointments where the client arrives more than 15 minutes past their scheduled time. This fee reflects the additional time pressure placed on the session and is added to the total service cost on the day. The later the arrival, the higher the fee.

Late arrival fee structure

  • 15 – 20 minutes late: [Add fee amount] added to service total
  • 21 – 30 minutes late: [Add fee amount] added to service total
  • 30+ minutes late: Appointment may be refused or cancelled at the studio’s discretion. If cancelled, the deposit is forfeited and a new deposit is required to rebook.

If you are running late: Contact us before your appointment time, not after. If we are notified in advance, we will do our best to accommodate you within the remaining time. We cannot guarantee the full service can be completed if significant time has been lost.

 

6. Hair Preparation Policy

Arriving with properly prepared hair is a condition of your appointment. Unprepared hair extends session time, affects the quality of the result, and in some cases may require the appointment to be rescheduled.

Please arrive with:

✔ Clean, freshly washed hair free of product buildup, oils, and residue
✔ Fully blow-dried hair — damp or wet hair is not acceptable for most services
✔ Thoroughly detangled hair with no knots or matting
✔ No heavy butters, waxes, or styling products applied before arrival

Braiding hair: For services where hair is not included, confirm what you need to bring at the time of booking. If you are unsure what to purchase, message us before your appointment and we will advise on the correct type, brand, and quantity for your style.

Appointments affected by hair preparation: If your hair arrives in a condition that prevents the booked service from being performed as scheduled, the appointment may be modified or rescheduled. In these cases, the deposit is retained and a new deposit is required to rebook.

 

7. Service Change Policy

Different services require different time allocations in the schedule. For this reason, service changes on the day of your appointment cannot always be accommodated.
If you need to change the service you originally booked, please contact us at least 48 hours before your appointment so we can adjust the time slot and confirm availability. Last-minute service changes requested on arrival will be accommodated only if time and resources allow (this is at the studio’s discretion and cannot be guaranteed).

 

8. Children & Guest Policy

Our studio at 2011 Blossite is a private, one-client-at-a-time environment designed for a focused, relaxed appointment experience.

  • Additional guests: We ask that clients attend appointments alone where possible. The studio space is intimate and additional guests can affect the working environment.
  • Children: If you need to bring a child to your appointment, please inform us at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee a suitable environment for unsupervised children during longer services.

 

9. Right to Refuse Service

Slayed by Davia reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service in the following circumstances:

  • Aggressive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behaviour toward the stylist
  • Arrival in a condition that prevents the safe or effective performance of the booked service
  • Repeated violation of studio policies

In these cases, deposits are forfeited and future bookings may be restricted at the studio’s discretion.
